About the organization
The Medical Physics Student Organization (MPSO) is a graduate student-led group that strives to provide professional development and mentorship opportunities for graduate students interested in pursuing a career as an accredited Medical Physicist. The group was created with the simultaneous launch of the new Medical Physics CAMPEP PhD Specialization within the Department of Medical Biophysics in September 2023. The goal of this committee is to inform students of the clinical medical physics field, educate them on what it means to be an accredited Medical Physicist, provide opportunities to participate in quality assurance and small clinical projects, guide them on crafting residency program applications, and create a welcoming environment for students to meet leaders in the field and gain mentors. Events will be held monthly in close collaboration with Medical Physicists from the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and Odette Cancer Centre. Event locations will alternate between uptown and downtown locations.
