About this event
Welcome to the information page for the Toronto Medical Physics Symposium held by the Department of Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto. The Symposium is scheduled for Wednesday, October 9th, 2024, 8:30am—5:00pm at the OPG Building, 700 University Ave, 4th Floor Social Café.
The purpose of the Symposium is to highlight the role of the Medical Physics PhD Specialization in creating new avenues of medical physics exploration and collaboration with the medical community. Foremost, this Symposium invites current graduate students to see all aspects of medical physics, starting from academic research and clinical care to roles in regulatory activities and industry, providing inspiration towards their future careers. The symposium will feature talks from clinical medical physicists, medical physics residents, graduate students, and representatives from manufacturers including Elekta and Varian.
A reception at the end of the Symposium will enable interested students to mingle with faculty and guest speakers. The reception will be followed by a medical physics residency information session featuring the program directors for the University of Toronto and London Regional Cancer Centre.
Register using the link below. Registration is free but required to ensure that enough food and coffee is ordered, as lunch and coffee will be provided. The deadline to register is October 2nd, 2024, at 4:00 pm
